All in all - had a fun filled 1 night stay. The rooms were brand-new and functional with a queen bed kept by the amazingly nice staff;)))

the place was fairly clean and fancy, had exceptionally nice and outstandingly accommodating staff with the rudest front desk clerk. i stayed here before, always unique and updated rooms with a queen bed.

Staying at hotel chalet at the choo choo was a mixed bag. The staff was really good and super helpful. It's also close to coolidge park, a great spot for some summertime fun. I loved the unique vibe of the place as it's nostalgic of trains from the past, glen miller would have loved it!

The room is wonderful and with central heating, multi-channel television and a fridge.

This hotel used to be the train station, now it's a beautiful hotel, they kept many of the trains or the atmosphere of the station lobby, even some rooms are inside the adapted train carriages. In the garden there is a pond of frogs and fish, in the day the goldfish shine and in the night the frogs and their song, (by the way this far from the rooms and can not be heard from there), the rooms are silent, comfortable beds and thick curtains, so you rest completely. There is a roofed pool with a pleasant temperature not too hot (ideal), has different depths, including a small part for children as young as 3 and 4 years, many of the rooms on the first floor can reach the pool from the terrace with only your credential (room key) to pass the security doors. In the same area there are several machines for selling soft drinks and sweets, there are tables around and even a microwave to prepare things like popcorn, etc.. Inside there is a good restaurant and boutique or candy stores, however. if someone wants to go out to a mini-super or an outside store, the nearest one is 4 blocks (400 or 450 m) away from the center (in those streets there is not a nice neighborhood), the ideal is to go downtown but you need to take the bus or go by car.

The parking lot is uncovered, although it is a private parking and controlled with your card (room key), but has an extra cost of $7.00 USD.

It is a historic hotel with beautiful gardens.

We loved that their was so many things to do there. We did not have to leave we had so much fun there. We have told all our friends and family about our trip.

Even though the facility is older, the rooms were very clean and comfortable, the staff was excellent and very helpful and it is right downtown and very close to a lot of Chattanoga's best tourist sites.

Interesting historic site, aundantly restored-- a worthy effort. Good cocktail bar on site.

A little too cheesey and Disneyesque for a pair of pensioners. Food as calorific as pretty well all of the rest of southern USA.

The experience for my grandchildren was great.

Tales from the unexpected

What a good surprise! The nostalgic ambiance, with sleeping in an old train car, draws you in. Staff were enthusiastic and the rooms had a charming home feel. The mini fridge stocked with drinks was a welcomed touch. With arcades and a pool on site, there is fun for the whole family!

The lobby was beautiful. Everything else was outdated and smelled funny everywhere you went.

The hotel was 70's outdated decor. Every building we went in had a different gross smell. I would not stay at this hotel again. That is too much money to spend for a discusting room.

For a lower price we could have stayed at a Day's Inn, Super 8, etc for less and have had better, larger, and more modern rooms. For the charge for the stay I will not be returning.

We had such a fun time hanging by the outdoor pool and enjoying live music ! The atmosphere was lively with awesome bars on site. The arcade kept the kids entertained. Just a heads up, the room felt a bit dated, but we didn't let it ruin our experience 🍹

The pictures on the site for reservations verses reality is very deceiving! It was very run down. I think it was way to expensive for what we had.
